Ministry of Health needs over 220bn shillings to carry out a massive country wide vaccination of hepatitis B.

In the last financial year 2016-2017 10 billion were allocated to the ministry of health to specifically fight Hepatitis B.

According to the state minister of health in charge of general duties Sarah Opendi, the 10bn were spent in the 38 districts of northern and some parts of eastern districts which needed urgent attention

Opendi told the parliamentary committee on HIV and related diseases that a national wide vaccination requires220 billions if all the 116 districts are to be covered.
