3 perish in Jinja accident

Three people been confirmed dead in an accident that has occurred in Kakira along Jinja -Iganga high way

The Wednesday morning accident has involved a canter vehicle registration number UAP 019R which rammed into a stationed trailer registration number UAB 823L belonging to Nile Ply Company.

The canter vehicle was loaded with cow peas from Kapchorwa heading to Kampala when it rammed into this trailer which was carrying timber.

The Jinja police OC traffic Dickson Rugundana says the accident was as a result of over speeding on the side of the canter driver.

He identified the dead as Umar Wanjang and two others only identified as Kijana [driver] and a one Nicolas.

Rugandana says the bodies of the dead have been taken to Jinja referral hospital
