Locals in Moroto District, Tanyadel village, Longunet parish are in shock after Karamajong warriors yesterday attacked the area, shot a boy dead, and made off with over 1000 cattle.

The South Karamoja police spokesperson Michael Longole says the armed warriors shot dead one Korobe Apangoria 6years old and injured three others to include Lolem Loguti, Lochap Paul, and Loit Longortipa.

Longole says the victims are currently admitted at  Moroto Regional referral hospital and the body was moved to the same hospital for a postmortem.

He says in the meantime, a joint task force involving UPDF and police is in pursuit of the raiders and no animals have been recovered or arrest made as yet.
