The ministry of health has assured the country that HIV/ AIDS will be history in the country by 2020

Speaking during the 8th National Pediatric and adolescent conference, the commissioner for national disease control in the ministry of health Dr. Patrick Tusiime says, the government should first put in place many interventions to eliminate the virus

He says interventions like community mobilization and sensitization on how to prevent and fight aids and also putting in place the service delivery points where patients can go and have treatment should be considered

He however appealed to the public especially the youth to test for HIV and know their status in advance
