The recently approved members of the Uganda National Cultural Centre Board of Trustees by Cabinet have been sworn in at the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development. The new board will serve for the next 3 years

The appointment follows the expiration of the previous board’s mandate last year in June.

The newly appointed board members include Prof. Okaka Opio as Chairperson, singer Phina Mugerwa (Vice Chairperson), Hannington Bugingo, Lillian Mbabazi, Dr. Richard Komakech, Joseph Mayanja (singer Chameleon), Moses Ssali (singer Bebe Cool), Juliana Naumo as members.

According to the Ministry, the appointment of the new board is a reflection of the cultural heritage and mirrors the demographic landscape with the young people in the majority.
