Police in Bukedea district are investigating the murder of a 27-year-old woman, Glades Apolot. The incident occurred on September 17, 2024, following a suspected domestic dispute with her partner.

Her lifeless body was discovered naked on Wednesday morning. Local authorities, including Tank Cell Local Council One chairperson Lazarus Omuria, confirmed the incident and notified the police.

“We woke up this morning with shocking information. This girl has been staying with a boyfriend,” said Mr. Omuria.

Bukedea District Police Commander (DPC) Richard Asiimwe told KFM that police visited the scene after receiving the report. The deceased’s body was transported to Bukedea Health Center IV mortuary for a postmortem examination.

“We immediately visited the scene and we found that the body was naked, an indicator that the couple fought each other leading to her death,” DPC Asiimwe said.

Police have identified the suspect, David Ojangole, also known as Raster, who is currently at large.

“We have commenced with our investigations and we call upon the public to avail any necessary information about Ojangole’s way about”, the DPC added.
