The High Court in Kampala has set April 25th 2017 to deliver a Judgment in a murder case against car Rally driver Desh Andrew Kananura and 4 co-accused persons.

This after two Court Assessors Rehema Babirye and Robert Kabuleeta asked Justice Joseph Murangira to acquit Kananura with his co accused.

The two assessors in their joint decision have informed court that although Prosecution managed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Badru Kateregga was killed in unlawful death they failed to prove that all the 5 accused persons participated in his murder.

Prosecution states that Kananura and four co-accused who include, his brother Raymond Kananura, Nzoreba Samuel, Onyango Jacob and Maganda sirus in September 2012 while at Panamera Bar Naguru Kampala suburbs, tortured and murdered Badru Kateregga a bar attendant at Panamera.

State insists that the accused persons beat Kateregga to death suspecting him to have stolen a 10,000k, a tip up from a customer.
