At least 22 suspected Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels have been killed in a joint operation by the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) and the DR Congo national Army (FARDC) in an attack launched on Saturday, March 25.

According to Maj. Gen. Bilal Katamba, the UPDF spokesperson in the DRC, an attack that took place in the South West of River Rusurube and North of River Semiliki saw 22 rebels put out of action by the joint force.

“The joint force was able to put 22 terrorists out of action, we also recovered four AK-47 guns, 313 rounds of ammunition, seven solar panels, five battery chargers, and two mobile phones which we think will be useful in giving us more information,” Katamba said.
