Internal Affairs minister General Jeje Odongo has warned people planning post-poll violence that it will be disastrous for them as security institutions are ready and prepared to stop any such incidents.

Speaking during a joint security press briefing this morning, General Odongo also commended security agencies for maintaining peace and order during the still ongoing 2021 polls.

He has meanwhile urged Ugandans to remain peaceful and ashame prophets of doom running a FALSE narrative that Uganda is on fire.

The remarks come hours after President Museveni also during his Liberation day address appealed to people who he said thought of planning violence to stop.
