High Court judge Wilson Masalu Musene has ordered prosecution to close a treason case against a set of 19 Muslim suspects for its failure to produce witnesses in court this morning.

Sofa nine witnesses testified in this case and now both parties prosecution and defence are going to submit on no case to answer.

The suspects including doctor Aggrey Kiyingi’s sister in-law Aisha Nakasibante are facing two counts of treason and concealment of treason where they are  said to have contrived a  plot to over throw the government of Uganda by use of firearms  between years;   2013 and  2015 at various places in Uganda , Dubai , Kenya and Tanzania.

Prosecution  further states that the accused expressed this plot through  utterances , recruitment and training of rebels,  acquiring  satellite mobile phones for communication, motorcycles  and vehicles for transport and also rented houses to act as safe houses to accomplish their mission.
