As the census exercise enters Day Four, residents of Kikuube are asked to cooperate with enumerators.

This was after six people were arrested in Mityana and Pallisa over dodging the ongoing National Housing and Population Census exercise.

Kikuube Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Amlan Tumusiime, says such scenarios can be avoided if members of the public cooperate with the enumerators and provide them with accurate information.

Speaking after being enumerated, Amlan said the exercise is progressing well, despite some minor challenges including an enumerator in Bugambe who refused to continue the exercise without a valid reason but was promptly replaced.

Meanwhile the Kikuube District Chairperson, Peter Banura, has warned individuals who are de-campaigning the census exercise saying they are sabotaging government programs.

The 2024 NPHC exercise, which began on May 10th expected to end on May 19, except for Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono, where it was extended by one day to make up for time lost due to technical glitches experienced by enumerators on Day One.
