All is set for election of Municipality, City division chairpersons, direct councilors and women councilors today.

The electoral commission last week concluded the first set of elections for district local government councils which included election of district and city chairpersons, Lord mayor, Mayors and councilors

The Electoral Commission’s chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama has urged all stakeholders to conduct themselves in a tolerant and peaceful manner, and observe SOPs provided to contain the spread of covid 19.

The elections are to be held in 56 electoral areas.
