Five people have been claimed in an accident that has occurred at Natete taxi park this evening.

According to the police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Patrick Onyango, three people died on the spot while two others have died from Mulago hospital where they had been rushed for treatment.

It involved a truck loaded with timber from Masaka whose driver lost control and knocked motor cyclists who were near the entrance of the park.

The truck also knocked down three ladies who were selling decoders in a nearby tent.

Onyango adds that they have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
