In a move meant for environmental protection, Nation Media Group-Uganda (NMG-U) is this morning set to engage in a clean-up exercise at Portbell market in Luzira, a Kampala suburb.

According to Joshua Watwaluma, the NMG-Uganda Senior Activations and Promotions Officer, the multi-media company is partnering with Zero Waste Africa in the fight against environmental degradation.

He says the initiative is intended to promote a clean, healthy, and safe environment for traders, customers, and the community at large.

The event kicks off at 9 am and will be graced by the Minister of Water and Environment Sam Cheptoris, as the chief cleaner.
