One more suspected case of Ebola has been admitted at Nyimbwa health center IV as the number of suspect cases being monitored rises to 77.

This now brings the number of suspected Ebola patients admitted countrywide to 13.

5 are admitted at Bombo Army hospital, 6 at Mulago Hospital and 2 at Nyimbwa Health Centre IV.

The Ministry of Health spokesperson Lukia Nakamatte says the experts who handled Ebola outbreaks both in Kagadi and Bundibugyo have been transferred to Luweero to beef up the teams on the ground.

Nakamatte adds that officials from the Uganda Red Cross Society have strengthened the door to door campaign, to ensure that people are sensitized about the deadly fever.

The highly infectious disease presents with high grade fever and bleeding, headache, vomiting, abdominal pain and kills in a short time.
