Authorities in Moroto district have again destroyed over 10,000 litres of local gin believed to harmful to the human health.

This gin worth about 80m shillings was impounded from Iriiri Sub County in Napak district as it was being transported on a FUSO truck.

According to the UPDF third division spokesperson Capt Jimmy Denis Omala the destruction followed a court order from Moroto Grade Two magistrate Elijah Musolo.

Two weeks ago authorities there destroyed over 40jerricans of Alcohol and arrested 7 people after it had claimed over 15 LC1 chairpersons in Karamoja sub region.
