As the government continues to look for various opportunities to create employment for the youth, MTN-Uganda has earmarked over Shs.4.5 billion for 150 business starts-ups.

The telecom company’s Chief Executive Officer Sylvia Mulinge, says the investment targets to benefit over 8,000 across the country.

She says the two-year project will be implemented through the MTN-Ace a youth-centered economic empowerment program designed for fresh graduates, as well as innovators.

“In this second phase we will set up four regional ICT and innovation hubs in the main national public university across the country, outside the radius of Kampala, Starting off with Makerere – kampala, Gulu – north, kabale – west and Busitema university in the east,” Mulinge added.
