PLE Results expected this afternoon

The results for the 2011 Primary Leaving Examinations are expected to be released this afternoon.
The results are to be announced by the minister of education and sports Jesica Alupo.
According to the Uganda National Examinations Boards acting public relations officer Hamis Kaheru, the move is meant to enable the candidates report for Senior One with the continuing students on January 30.
A total of 535,933 Primary Seven candidates registered for PLE last year of which 446,928 are under Universal Primary Education program introduced 15 years ago.

Only 17 per cent of the candidates are from non-UPE schools.
