Police in Kayunga district have retrieved the body of a 14 year old boy who drowned in river Nile while celebrating his excellent performance in PLE.
The Kayunga district police commander Babra Alungat has identified the deceased as Moses Kabuzibwe, who sat his Primary Leaving Examinations last year from Hill Road primary school, in Masaka municipality and scored 7 aggregates.
According to the DPC, Kabuzibwe had gone for a tour of Kalagala falls in Kangulumira sub-county when he drowned in the fast moving waters.
She adds that the deceased was among a group of 20 people who had gone to tour the tourist site when he drowned.

The DPC says that with the help of local fishermen and police the boy’s body has been retrieved and given to the relatives.

According to police records, five people drowned at Kalagala falls last year and so Alungat has asked the residents to keep away from the fast moving river waters and vows to take tough action against people who don’t take precautionary measures.
