Police in Kampala has trashed on going social media reports that another woman was murdered in Wakiso district yesterday.

The response followed death of a pregnant woman identified as Nakandirya Juliet a resident of Bujuujo Nansana yesterday.

According to the police spokesperson Asan Kasingye, the deceased developed complications on Wednesday and when her husband left for work on Thursday morning her condition worsened and later died in the house.

He says a postmortem report indicates that the woman died of natural causes, so there is no for alarm and panic.

The police response comes as investigations into the murder of 20 women in Wakiso district in a space of 3 months continue.

Yesterday the Internal Affairs Minister Jeje Odongo linked the murders to witch craft, drawing fierce criticism from a cross section of Ugandans.
