A requiem service for Gen Elly Tumwine will be held today at Kololo Independence Grounds.

According to the official burial program released earlier by the UPDF and ICT and national guidance minister, prayers are scheduled to begin with a national assembly at 8 am before service that will start at 10 am.

However, there are special invitations for some categories of mourners who are required to take covid-19 tests before accessing Kololo.

The rest of the mourners will be duly guided by protocol so as to observe covid-19 guidelines.

The bush war historical will be buried tomorrow (Tuesday) at his home in Mukuru Rwebikoma, Kazo district with a funeral service starting at 10 am and burial taking place in the afternoon.

Gen Tumwine succumbed to lung cancer at the Aga Khan Hospital on Thursday where he had been hospitalized for over two weeks.
