2007 African rugby champions will come together for one night to rewind the hand of time for not only themselves but also rugby lovers in the country.

That will be in the 7s fun rugby tournament dubbed “One Nite Stand” at the Legends club in Lugogo this Friday.

Fly half Edmond Tumusiime was key for Uganda then and is joined by Allan Musoke, stand-in captain Timothy Mudoola, Tony Luggya, Brian Tabaruka and Mathias Ochwo.

Now MTN heathen coach Tabaruka retired after that memorable final and the team disintegrated in the two years thereafter.

Teams are named after some of the biggest players in the game today with Justin Kimono, MVP Andrew Olweny and upcoming back Pearson Okia among the captains.

Tumusiime and company whose team is called African champions are grouped with Robert Seguya, African and Michael Wokorach in pool C.

Pool A will have the Wazee, Pearson Okia, Andrew Lweny, while B will consist of Ambrose Kamanyiire, Arthur Mukama, Anthony Kinene.

While  Adnan Mutebi, Francis Odong and  Justin Kimono will compete in pool D
