Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has instructed government to table a comprehensive statement detailing the circumstances under which Opposition leader Kizza Besigye and his co-accused Obeid Lutale Kamulegeya were picked up from Nairobi, Kenya, and later arraigned in the General Court Martial last week.

“I have asked the Minister for Internal Affairs to bring the report on [Dr Besigye arrest] but as of yesterday [Monday], I got a letter from Hon [Gen David] Muhoozi saying that he is going to be out [of the country] up to Friday. So can we have the statement on Tuesday on the floor,” Speaker Among said. Read more
