Youth have been urged to keep equipping themselves with several skills if they are to create the future they desire.

Speaking at the launch of the 2024 National Social Security Fund/Daily Monitor Career Expo held at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Kampala, the Managing Director, Nation Media Group – Uganda, Ms Susan Nsibirwa encouraged the students to prepare for the digital economy and traditional economy jobs.

“Look at the expo as an opportunity to equip yourselves to be able to navigate the complexity of the job market,” said Ms Nsibirwa.

NSSF Managing Director, Mr Patrick Ayota  advised the students to have self-esteem if they are to find their purpose.

On his part, the Managing Directior Absa Bank, Mumba Kalifungwa, also reiterated the call for youth to acquire more skills, saying “There is no substitute for experience than experience itself.”

The expo themed “Define your game, defy the odds” will run till April 24, 2024.
