Ugandans have been asked to start investing in mineral industry instead leaving the sector to foreigners.

Currently few Ugandans have invested in mineral sector especially oil sector due to huge capital involved and the few who have bothered are in extraction of less valuable mineral using rudimental methods

Now speaking to kfm, Richard Kaijuka the vice chairman Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum said that many Uganda are just looking for jobs in this instead of being key drivers.

He is now calling for a financial push from both government and other financial institution to enable Ugandans take the lead.
