Torture remains one of the major rights violations in Uganda, despite the existence of legislation to eliminate the trend.

Recently, I visited the African Centre for Rehabilitation of torture victims in Uganda offices in Kamwokya Kampala and interacted with two key people at the centre who share with me what is involved in handling victims of torture as well as some of the key issues that need to be addressed to rid the country of such ill treatment.
