A woman in Kawempe division has this morning set herself ablaze together with her four children.

Faula Aligaba is reported to have locked herself together with the children in the bedroom, in which she poured petrol before lighting the fire.

One of the children identified as Anita has died on spot while her 3 siblings and their mother have been rushed to hospital in very critical condition.

The Police Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan region Ibbin Ssenkumbi says the surving children and their mother were saved by residents who forced their way into the house.

The husband, identified as Richard Ndimulekera who was reportedly in the house at the time of the incident is said to have run away.

SSekkumbi says they are still hunting for him to help with the investigations.

The police is also still investigating into what triggered the woman’s actions.
